Front desk hours vary for different seasons. We do our best to answer the phones and return calls as soon as possible. Please be patient with us.
We do not have a full time receptionist. Phones are not answered after 9:30pm.

Q: How far is the Motel from Downtown Munising?
A: We are ten miles or roughly ten minutes from town!
Q: What kind of WIFI do we offer?
A: We have Starlink Satalite Internet, we will be adding new repeaters late fall 2025 to help boost signal to the rooms!.
Q: Will My cell phone work?
A: EH....cell service is spotty anywhere in the U.P. when you are hooked up to our internet you will be able to get emails, most texts, make internet calls and zoom calls. We have a land line for guests to make local calls and emergency calls.
Q: Do I take paved or gravel roads to get to the Timber Ridge Inn?
A: You should only be on paved roads to get to the Motel, always check your settings in your navigation system and make sure settings are set for fastest route or to utalize highways. Espically when using your cars navigation system.
Always compare the map you are using with the one on our website or in your welcome email you recieve 48 hours prior to your scheduled arival date.
Q: Will some one be there when I arrive?
A: Our office is located below the motel in our house and we usually have guests check in remotely. We will have the lights on and your itinerary on dinning table along with the keys in the room. We text every guest on check in day from Abby's cell phone. Please make sure your cell phone is listed on the reservation!
If guests are bringing a trailer(s) we will let you know where to park on check in day via text, we are happy to come up to help get your tailer parked durring daytime hours.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accepts credit cards and cash for payments, however all deposits are paid by card and we require a working credit card on file for all reservations, even when paying cash. Call our office in advace if splitting payments or if you would like to pay with a different card on file! we allow 2 cards per reservation to be used when splitting payments.
Q: Are the rooms air conditioned?
A: We DO NOT have air conditioning in any of our rooms. Our rooms stay cool durring hot days when you shut up your windows and black out curtains before leaving for the day. We provide box fans to keep you cool, as well as there is a wonderful breeze off the lake when you have your front window and patio slider open in the mornings and evenings. Most guests say we dont need AC other than a rare day or two in the summer.
Q: Why does the sign still say Timber Ridge Lodge and Motel out front?
A: . Please be patient as we work to create a new identy for our signs! The old lodge is now our home and the motel is now the Inn. So for now when you see signs for the Timber Ridge Lodge and Motel or the Timber Ridge Inn, know your headed in the right direction and follow the signs in from highway 94 or 13!
Q: Do we do daily house keeping?
A: We do not do daily house keeping, but we always try and ask if you need anything when we see you, we keep extra towels, coffee and toilet paper on hand for guests to access anytime they need them and we keep extra trash can liners in the cans in your rooms. If you are staying more than just a few days we are happy to tidy up for you if you need us to. We currently do not have a full time house keeper on site other than for the rooms that are checking out.
Q: Do we allow pets?
A: Rooms 4 through 9 are dog friendly, we charge an extra $20.00 per night per dog. Max 2 dogs per room. If you do not claim your pet at the time of making the reservation, you must let us know 24 hours before chedck in you will be bringing a pet. Any guest that is found to have a pet that has not listed the pet will be charged not only the nightly pet rate but also a $150.00 cleaning fee. When a guest has a pet we use special pet friendly linnens, furnature covers and after guest leaves we deep clean the room to ensure no pet hair is left behind. Guests may be asked to leave early with no refund if they try and hide their pet from the staff.
